RESULTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31, 1999
February 24, 2000 - Breakwater Resources Ltd.'s audited consolidated net earnings for the year ended December 31, 1999 were $22.5 million ($0.29 per share) on gross sales revenue of $256.0 million compared to a consolidated net loss of $53.9 million ($0.77 per share) on gross sales revenue of $176.1 million for the same period in 1998. Cash flow from operations for the year ended December 31, 1999 was $39.5 million ($0.51 per share) compared to cash used by operations of $6.5 million ($0.09 per share) for the same period in 1998.
