MEDIA RELEASE
February 21, 2001 - February 21, 2001 Breakwater Resources today reported record zinc production and record revenue for the year ended December 31, 2000. In addition, cash flow from operations was the second highest in the Company’s history. Earnings for the year and the fourth quarter were negatively impacted by a non cash provision of $27.1 million to adjust the carrying value of the Caribou mine and certain other mining assets to reflect the new Ontario Securities Commission standards on valuing mineral resources and reserves.
