BREAKWATER ANNOUNCES YEAR-END FINANCIAL AND OPERATING RESULTS
March 1, 2002 - Breakwater Resources Ltd. reported an audited consolidated net loss of $111.1 million in 2001 compared with a net loss of $8.7 million during the year 2000. The losses included non-cash write-downs of mineral properties and fixed assets of $70.3 million in 2001 and $27.1 million in 2000.
