(“Breakwater”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Priya Patil as Corporate

Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary of Breakwater.

Prior to joining Breakwater, Ms. Patil held positions with GMP Securities Ltd., Dundee

Securities Corporation as well as practised law with Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison in Palo

Alto, California. She completed her articleship with Borden Ladner Gervais and was

subsequently seconded to General Motors Corporation of Canada.

Ms. Patil is a cum laude graduate of the University of Ottawa Law School and a graduate

of the University of Bombay majoring in Computer Sciences and Statistics. She is a

member of the Ontario and California Bars. She is also a member of the American Bar

Association, the Canadian Bar Association and the Canadian Corporate Counsel

Association.

Breakwater is a mineral resource company engaged in the acquisition, exploration,

development and mining of base metal and precious metal deposits in the Americas and

North Africa. Breakwater has five producing zinc mines: the Myra Falls mine in British

Columbia and the Bouchard-Hébert mine in Québec, Canada; the Bougrine mine in

Tunisia; the El Mochito mine in Honduras; and the El Toqui mine in Chile. The

Company also owns the Langlois mine in Canada, which is currently on a care and

maintenance and being prepared for the development program that is to bring the mine

back into production.
