TORONTO, March 28, 2006 /CNW/ BREAKWATER RESOURCES LTD. (TSX – BWR) (“Breakwater”) announced today that Mr. Richard R. Godfrey will be stepping down as Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Mr. Godfrey will continue in his current role until the end of the school year to facilitate the search for his successor. The Company will conduct a thorough search for a new Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Godfrey has accepted a position with EuroZinc Mining Corporation, a Vancouver based mining company.

In making the announcement George E. Pirie, President and CEO stated, “Richard has served Breakwater well over the past three years and will be missed. We wish him every success in his new role.”
