Toronto, Canada, July 12, 2007
Breakwater Resources Ltd. (TSX – BWR) (the “Company”), at the request of Market Regulation Services Inc., on behalf of the Toronto Stock Exchange, is making the following statement concerning the recent increase in its stock price. Breakwater advises that it is not aware of any undisclosed corporate developments which would explain the current market activity in its shares.
Breakwater is a mining, exploration and development company which produces and sells zinc, copper, lead and gold concentrates to customers around the world. The Company's concentrate production is derived from four mines. Two of Breakwater’s mines are located in Canada, one is located in Chile and one is located in Honduras.
